The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (usually MIT) is a university in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was the home to two noted computer science research organizations, the AI Lab and the Laboratory for Computer Science (LCS) (now united in the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory).
