The VAX 82xx/83xx series are mid-range VAX systems built around the VAXBI bus to connect their main sub-systems.

There are two single processor systems:

Most VAX 82xx/83xx systems had 12 VAXBI slots and were housed in the H9642 cabinet.

Furthermore there are seven known large VAX 8250/8350 systems with 24 VAXBI slots in the wider H9645 cabinet:

  • 825CD
  • 835BB
  • 835BC
  • 835CC
