The VAXserver 4000 Model 300 is a minicomputer VAX server (not for interactive time-sharing usage) whose hardware and software has minor differences with VAX 4000 series‎‎ and VAXstation 4000 series‎‎ units; although, like the VAX 4000, it uses a BA440 Enclosure.

In particular, it differs from the VAXstation 4000 in using a CPU, the KA670 CPU, which provides two Digital Storage Systems Interconnect mass storage buses.
