Power Supply
Memory Options
Only one MS400 memory module may be connected to a KA410-A system module, which has 2MB on-board memory.
Mass Storage Options
- RX33 5.25" Floppy Drive
- RD32 42MB Disk Drive
- RD53 71MB Disk Drive
- RD54 159MB Disk Drive
- TK50 96MB Cartridge Tape Drive
Communication Options

- DSH32 Synchronous/Asynchronous Serial Line Option [6]
- DST32 Synchronous Serial Line Option [7]
- DESVA VAXstation 2000 / MicroVAX 2000 ThinWire Ethernet Option [2]
Expansion Boxes
- BA40A Expansion Adapter
- TK50Z-F Tape Expansion Box
- RD53-F Disk Expansion Box
- RD54-F Disk Expansion Box
You need the BA40A expansion adapter to connect any of the expansion boxes, but only one adapter is needed for two boxes.
The expansion box houses either a tape drive or a fixed disk drive and is shipped with a drive cable. The drive cable connects the expansion box to the MicroVAX 2000 / VAXstation 2000 system unit's expansion adapter. The expansion adapter must already be installed on the bottom of the MicroVAX 2000 / VAXstation 2000 system unit before the expansion box is connected.
You may install a total of two expansion boxes (one with a fixed disk and one with a tape drive). If you are installing more than one expansion box, first install the expansion box with the tape drive, and then install the expansion box with the fixed disk.
