The VAX 82xx/83xx series are mid-range VAX systems built around the VAXBI bus to connect their main sub-systems; all use either the KA820 CPU or KA825 CPU.
There are two single processor systems:
And two dual processor systems:
Most VAX 82xx/83xx systems had 12 VAXBI slots and were housed in the H9642 cabinet. Furthermore there are seven known large VAX 8250/8350 systems with 24 VAXBI slots in the wider H9645 cabinet:
- 825BA
- 825BB
- 825BC
- 825CD
- 835BB
- 835BC
